Registering is FUN!
Brandy: Last weekend was Memorial weekend. Brian and I made the most of it by registering for baby stuff! We started at Babies R Us on Saturday and visited Target on Sunday. Target has managed to jack my registry up, so I am not very happy with them right now. Online, I can look it up by registry number, but not by our names. Also, it will not let me log in with my email address even though it sent me a "Welcome" email. It doesn't make sense and it is frustrating. Plus I found out you are supposed to get some nifty bag full of coupons and goodies in the store, and I didn't get anything . I will be calling them very shortly! Babies R Us was wonderful, and they had a much better selection of things. We are registering for most of our stuff here, and just choosing some smaller items from Target. It was a great weekend, but I did not realize how much pressure there is when choosing things for baby! Geez! Brian is totally impatient, and has pleaded with me that he cannot wait to find out the sex of the baby as our original plan entailed. So, IF we find out the sex of the baby, we will still be keeping it a secret from EVERYONE else. Yes I am mean. I have already heard it! I just really want to see the look on everybody's face when we announce "It's a (insert sex here)". Call me mean, call me selfish, but you can't make me spill the beans! This weekend we also watched Marley and Me. Wow, lots of tears on my part. And now it seems to have magically turned on some crying switch that I don't know how to turn off. I have been crying while watching TV and even at the Dry Cleaners yesterday. This doesn't last forever, right? Oh yea - Last week someone at work asked me if I was pregnant. I lied and said NO! I am not ready to tell people here... not until the 1st trimester is over. What does this mean? It means that I am getting a lil' bitty baby bump... enough that someone felt the urge to ask me! I wasn't ready for that yet. My lies will be exposed soon enough. Until then, I will have to be extra careful about wearing clothes that show my bump at work!

At first Target had our registry messed up and I ended up having to write down all the numbers of the items and deleting the first registry and creating a new one. It was such a pain and hassle. I don't remember ever getting a bag of stuff either. They handed us a book that had nursery items and a checklist for baby items to put on the registry. Man I remember the whole crying thing too lol! According to Travis I still have that symptom, but it is slowly going away. I used to get so frustrated at other drivers that I would break out into tears, really for no reason. Baby bumps are cute though =) Im sure that they will understand when you tell everyone. Well love ya sis!
ReplyDeleteI warned you about that Marley and Me movie! haha... I had pickle juice all over my face because it was the only napkin I had around. Just terrible.
ReplyDeleteDon't people know they shouldn't ask if you're pregnant...rude!
ReplyDeleteHere's how to make the overly inquisitive die of embarrassment: Reply with, "Why? Do I look fat?" That will shut them up VERY quickly.
